CTSA Pharmacies and Compounding for Translational Research

Overview

This Working Group aimed to document how CTSA Research Pharmacies contribute to the development of new drug products and dosage forms through translational research. By doing so, the group aimed to help physician scientists better understand how a research pharmacy can support translational research. This aimed to facilitate drug development pathways in the academic setting and encourage pharmacists to share formulation and regulatory expertise across institutions, improving local expertise for CTSA pharmacies. Additionally, the group worked to inform pharmacists on how to further contribute to CTSA research locally.
