The Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, and Data Science (BIDS) EC is a transdisciplinary committee charged with advancing Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) and CTS by leveraging data, information, and computational methods. Through its work, BIDS EC fosters collaboration across CTSA hubs, supports the development and dissemination of tools and best practices, and drives innovation in data-powered research.
Committee Goals
Leverage biostatistics, biomedical informatics, and data science to drive innovation and improve research rigor across the CTSA Program.
Serve as a dynamic forum for multi-directional engagement among CTSA hubs, NCATS leadership, and scientific communities to address shared challenges.
Co-create scalable methods, resources, and guidance that support high-quality, reproducible clinical and translational research.
Remain agile through annual goal-setting, charter reviews, and targeted working groups that respond to evolving scientific priorities and CTSA program demands.
