The University of Michigan (UM) Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) predoctoral T32 translational science program is a research and career development training opportunity designed for students who are early in their Ph.D. program or in a professional health degree program. The ideal candidate is completing their first or second year Ph.D. program; or a third year health professions student. Students will learn the fundamentals of translational science and translational research through a mentored research project and UM courses.
Translational science is focused on understanding a scientific or operational principle that underlies a step of the translational process, with the goal of developing generalizable principles to accelerate translational research.
