Goal #8: Foster the development of the emerging field of translational science

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) at University of Wisconsin - Madison is pleased to announce the awarding of six <a href="https://ictr.wisc.edu/funding-opportunities-2/#advancing-translational-research-and-science" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Advancing Translational Research and Science</a> (ATRS) pilot awards for 2024. Goal #6: Enhance training programs 

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Translational Research Institute (TRI) has announced two postdoctoral trainees for its <a href="https://tri.uams.edu/training/funded-training-opportunities/tl1-training-program/2019-hsie-scholarship-awardees/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Health Sciences Innovation and Entrepreneurship</a> (HSIE) Postdoctoral Training Program, beginning July 1, 2024. Selected in a competitive application process, the trainees will receive two years of mentored entrepreneurship training in partnership with the University of Arkansas Sam M. Goal #7:  Training and career support programs for translational scientists

Mohammad Hosseini, Ph.D., assistant professor of Preventive Medicine in the Division of Health and Biomedical Informatics, was recently elected to the board of directors of the Association for Professional and Practical Ethics (APPE). Hosseini is a research ethics and integrity expert, who collaborates closely with the Galter Health Science Library, Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine on topics related to technology ethics, including artificial intelligence. His term begins July 1, 2024. APPE recently conducted a Q&amp;A with Hosseini, which is presented below.&nbsp;You are a newly elected board member. Congratulations!
