Scientists Probe How Surfing Could Help Chronic Pain

Researchers at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute are exploring how regularly engaging in surfing can help individuals who suffer from chronic pain. Through an incredibly unique study, the effects of real surfing and simulated surfing using virtual reality are being measured through brain scans with findings that could help us better understand chronic pain, a reality that one in five Americans face daily…
