NCATS Researchers Awarded HHS Honors

The NCATS National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) federal team, which houses one of the largest collections of secure and deidentified clinical data in the United States for COVID-19 research, was recently awarded the HHS Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service. This is the highest honor award granted by the department to HHS employees, and recognized the N3C team’s creativity, ingenuity, and close collaboration. You can watch the award ceremony here.  

 

NCATS researcher Sarah E. Dunsmore, Ph.D., also recently received an HHS award. Dr. Dunsmore was awarded the HHS Secretary’s Commendation for her exceptional service and leadership during the pandemic through the ACTIV-6 decentralized clinical trials. She was featured in the I Am Translational Science video series where she discussed her role as the ACTIV-6 project manager. Watch to learn more about her award-winning research.
