Community Voices Lead the Way: CTSI’s Research Day Focuses on Rural Health Needs

Experience the energy and impact of the 2025 Berks County Community-Driven Research Day, where Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and Penn State Berks brought together more than 90 participants for a day of meaningful collaboration. This vibrant event showcased how community leaders and academic researchers can join forces to tackle urgent health challenges facing Berks County, with voices from 38 local organizations and four Penn State campuses coming together in a spirit of shared purpose.

 

Guided by the theme “Fostering Meaningful Collaboration,” the day was filled with interactive breakout sessions, inspiring stories, and authentic dialogue that deepened trust and sparked new ideas. From innovative health initiatives to hands-on community support, attendees celebrated the power of partnership and the importance of research that responds directly to local needs. Discover how this gathering is laying the groundwork for lasting change and why community-engaged research is shaping the future of health in Berks County.
