As part of the Schnaper Visiting Scientist Program, the NUCATS Institute is hosting Center for Clinical and Translational Science TL1 Fellow <a href="https://bulkmail.northwestern.edu/trk/click?ref=zstwe3vud_3-dbd2x31f255x0661&amp;" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Carly Herbert</a> on Friday, March 29.&nbsp;Herbert is an M.D./Ph.D. student at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. She graduated from Washington University in St Louis in 2017, after which she completed a Public Health Research Fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Chronic Viral Diseases. Goal #1: Advance clinical and translational science

We welcome applications from individuals from a broad range of disciplines to join us in advancing implementation science to achieve health equity. The Department of Population Health was recently awarded an $11M Center of <a href="https://www.kumc.edu/research/implementation-science-for-equity-cobre" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Implementation Science for Health Equity (ISEC) </a>with the goal of strengthening institutional, state, and national capacity in implementation and dissemination research. ISEC provides core services, pilot project grants, protected research time, and mentorship. ISEC’s mission is to eliminate health disparities across the life course through implementation science. &nbsp;&nbsp;We seek a late Associate or full Professor to join the ISEC leadership. &nbsp;Successful candidates will be engaged in research on promoting health equity in any area of health or healthcare with an emphasis on implementing evidence-based interventions in relevant clinical or community settings. &nbsp;This is a 12-mos. tenure-track position and opportunities exist for joint appointments in other departments in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Kanas Medical Center (KUMC) campus in Kansas City as well as academic units of the University of Kansas main campus in Lawrence. &nbsp;The Department of Population Health, located in the School of Medicine, provides a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment. While our faculty draw from different scholarly disciplines, we share a common goal of remediating health disparities across Kansas and beyond. In addition to a record of partnership with state and regional health authorities, department faculty have long-standing collaborations with many community and clinical partners in both urban and rural locations, providing a rich environment for impactful implementation science and community-engaged research. Apply now for the 2024-2026 Center for Dissemination and Implementation At Stanford (C-DIAS) Fellowship in Addiction Dissemination and Implementation (D&amp;I) Science!&nbsp;When: September 11th to September 13th, 2024Where: Stanford University (Palo Alto, California)Deadline: April 15th, 2024&nbsp;The C-DIAS Fellowship in Addiction Dissemination and Implementation (D&amp;I) Science is designed for early or mid-career individuals who have a goal of using rigorous methods in D&amp;I science to improve public access to a high quality of addiction treatment. The C-DIAS D&amp;I Fellowship enables individuals to maintain full-time employment at their institutions while participating in the Fellowship. There is a one-week on-site experience at Stanford University (Palo Alto, California), but otherwise the 2-year experience is remote with virtual activities. This year’s on-site experience will take place from September 11th to September 13th, 2024.&nbsp;This semi-structured, individually tailored fellowship features two tracks: 1) a Research Track with a goal of preparation for an NIH-funded addiction D&amp;I research career and 2) Learning Health Systems Track with a goal of applying D&amp;I methods for substance use as an embedded researcher or improvement specialist. The C-DIAS Fellowship features a combination of didactics, experiential peer group-based learning, individual mentoring in D&amp;I science in addiction, as well as professional development issues.&nbsp;Extensive opportunities exist for networking, becoming a member of a vast network of individuals engaged in the addiction treatment health services research and practice community, and contributing to the field. This is a curriculum-based but individualized program with monthly virtual reverse classroom hour-long lectures, monthly attendance at a C-DIAS Research Core section meeting, bimonthly Virtual Grand Rounds (live or archived), and pairing with a mentor based on topical focus.
