Students will acquire basic concepts of database design for clinical and basic research.
This course provides an introduction to using REDCap and will cover the following topics:
- Development of data collection forms
- Building “classic” and “longitudinal” projects using REDCap
- Modifying a database as a project changes
- Using REDCap as a workflow management tool
- Data quality control
- Exporting data to statistical packages
- Data security
SOCI Training Program
The Johns Hopkins Science of Clinical Investigation (SOCI) Training Program is a four course training series designed to prepare clinicians and scientists to participate in multidisciplinary clinical research. Participants will complete four courses covering the main disciplines of clinical research including:
- Database Design
- Ethics
- Design of Clinical Studies
- Quantitative Analysis
- Outcomes Research
- Quality Improvement/ Knowledge Translation
