Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Metabolic Syndrome, and Inflammation in the Hispanic Community Health Study

A recent study with researchers from Penn State CTSI aims to explore the effects of PCOS and metabolic syndrome in Hispanic/Latino females. PCOS is a complex, multifaceted endocrine disorder and though it is associated with inflammation and metabolic syndrome, moderating effects of inflammation haven’t been studied in this population, who have a higher metabolic burden.
