An example of an organ-on-a-chip technology

New Research Center for Women's Health

Ramkumar Menon, Ph.D., of the University of Texas Medical Branch and collaborators at Texas A&M University recently received a $7.6-milllion grant from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) to establish a center to advance organ-on-a-chip technology focused on pregnancy and women's health. The center builds on more than 30 years of research led by Dr. Menon, which has largely focused on preterm birth.

 

The new research center will advance organ-on-a-chip technologies related to pregnancy and women's health, and enable researchers to test potential drug interventions for adverse pregnancy outcomes…
