Those analyzing the data are often different from those who collect and generate the data, and different from those interpreting the data. This can lead to gaps in the team’s knowledge around key data processing or analysis decisions. Transparent, robust documentation is also a key step to uncovering errors. Investigators the Yale Department of Psychiatry investigated the genetic profiles of more than 1 million participants enrolled in multiple cohorts around the world. Leveraging this large dataset, they uncovered more than 100 genes associated with anxiety. <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s41588-024-01908-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The results were published in Nature Genetics</a>.&nbsp;Anxiety disorders and symptoms affect many individuals and negatively on their quality of life.
