Christina Eckhardt, M.D., discusses the impact of receiving TL1-supported training and research at the Irving Institute.&nbsp;&nbsp;Because of this program, she found structure to research training in ways no other programs offered, was able to earn a master’s degree in patient-oriented research through the Mailman School of Public Health, and attended and presented at four international conferences where she connected with leaders in her field. Researchers at the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering &amp; Materials Science have collaborated with scientists at the University of Southern California to better understand natural killer (NK) immune cells.
