Troubleshoot Login Issues
If you're having trouble creating or accessing your CCOS account, review the common issues below before contacting CCOS Support.
I Can't Log In
Confirm that you are using the sign-on service associated with your CCOS account:
- InCommon
- Login.gov
- NIH
If you're unsure which sign-on service you originally selected, refer to your account approval email or contact CCOS Support for assistance.
My Institution Isn't Listed in InCommon
Not all institutions participate in InCommon. If your institution does not appear in the available list, you may need to use another sign-on option, such as Login.gov.
If you believe your institution should be available, contact CCOS Support so the team can confirm your available registration options.
I Need to Change My Email Address or Institution
Some account information cannot be changed directly from your User Profile. Contact CCOS Support if you need assistance updating your:
- Email address
- Hub/Agency/Center
- Affiliated institution
- Primary CTSA role
For other profile changes, see Update Your User Profile.
I Forgot My Password
CCOS does not directly manage the password for your sign-on service. Password resets should be completed through your identity provider, such as your institution, Login.gov, or NIH.
I Still Can't Access My Account
If the issue continues, email CCOS Support at support@ccos.ctsa.io and include:
- Your name
- The email address associated with your account
- The sign-on service you are using, if known
- A brief description of the issue
- A screenshot or error message, if applicable
Providing these details will help the Support Team investigate your issue more efficiently. A member of the team will respond within one business day.
