Building and Scaling a Collaborative Continuing Education Training Program for Clinical Research Professionals

Overview

Continuing education for Clinical Research Professionals (CRPs) is essential for maintaining a skilled clinical research workforce, yet developing and sustaining high-quality programs can be challenging for individual institutions.

Research Professionals Network (RPN) Workshops offer an established model to address the challenge of creating and sustaining CRP training and continuing education. The goal of this working group is to expand on that model by providing a reproducible framework for collaborative, peer-led, inter-institutional continuing education training for CRPs. To do this we will develop and provide practical resources, guidance, and mentorship to support the development of RPN Workshops collaborations among CTSA/CTR hubs that will strengthen the professional development capacities of the clinical research workforce, while reducing duplication and improving efficiency and networking.
