This Working Group aimed to advance the integration of dissemination and implementation into the broader spectrum of clinical and translational research, including clinical, practice-based, and community-engaged research, and to build capacity for competency development for dissemination and implementation, leveraging the support of current community of practice of Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) experts and users, CTSA consortium, and Practice Based Research Network (PBRN) models.
Advancing Dissemination and Implementation Sciences

Overview
This Working Group aimed to advance the integration of dissemination and implementation into the broader spectrum of clinical and translational research, including clinical, practice-based, and community-engaged research, and to build capacity for competency development for dissemination and implementation, leveraging the support of current community of practice of Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) experts and users, CTSA consortium, and Practice Based Research Network (PBRN) models.

Group Goals
Advance critical links between research and practice communities through Practice Based Research Networks (PBRNs) by understanding how principles of engagement science and implementation science apply to (a) generating new knowledge and (b) disseminating and implementing new knowledge into practice.
Expand critical links between D&I and clinical research through building capacities at local hubs to create D&I competencies for translational and clinical researchers, working closely with related Enterprise Committees that are focused on community engagement, informatics, learning health systems and workforce development.
